Available courses

This course is designed to awaken the student's mind to an objective thinker as the concept of objective truth is under fire, especially in this post-modern era. 1 Peter 3:15 reminds us to be ready to respond to every man who asks us to give a reason for the hope that is in us. The course therefore will enable the student to give a compelling and credible defense of the Christian faith by looking at the tenets of apologetics.

The Youth Ministry Certification Course is designed primarily for persons serving in Youth Ministry departments. However, the course may benefit persons interested in working with youths in any sphere. The goal is to produce visionary leaders with a high level of motivation to operate Youth departments that are vibrant, relevant and spirit-led.

This course is designed to prepare students for a deeper study of the New Testament. It gives an overview of the books of the New Testament, describing the political, social, historical and cultural context of the New Testament. The course will also provide a summary of the impact of the life of Christ on humanity.

This course is to prepare students for a deeper study of the Old Testament. BE5103 gives an overview of the first 16 books of the Old Testament through a survey of the cultural, geographical, historical, and theological background while using bible exposition skills to determine major theological themes and patterns and significant interpretative problems in a book-by-book study.

This course is designed to expose students to basic knowledge on Christian Ethics. The course focuses on issues that people in general face, but special emphasis will be placed on situations within the Caribbean context. It is assumed that students themselves have ethical considerations that they too face as individuals. However, there are several ethical considerations one must consider as they assume different roles in the Church.

Students will enroll to view their final course grade as per semester, as well as have easy access to monitor their individual progress overtime using their student ID number.

This course is designed to help you understand how to use NCBICOnline.

The Youth Ministry Certification Programme is geared mainly towards persons serving in Youth Ministry and other interested persons.

The Youth Ministry Department needs visionary leaders to make a difference. As leaders, they must constantly be searching for new programmes, challenging and inspirational ideas in order to keep the Youth Ministries alive, relevant and informative. The training of youth leaders and potential ministry leaders is paramount to the health of the organization. Youth ministry must develop the potential in our young people; meet their needs, personal interest and spiritual welfare.

This course is designed to help you understand how to use NCBIOnline. The enrolment key is TrainMe!

This course is designed for persons who are already in a place of church leadership or who are anticipating a leadership responsibility.  The course seeks to present an orderly comprehensive, theoretical and practical illustrated framework of church administration.

The course focuses on how the leader relates to organizations and its people, performance of administrative functions, leadership and ministry skills.

The Introduction to Theology course will seek to address basic theological foundations. It will be based mainly on the branch of theology called Systematic Theology. The course will also address aspects of non-Christian concepts of God and other forms of world religion to give the students a greater appreciation of Christian Theology.

This course is designed to expose students to basic techniques in counselling. The course focuses on issues that people in general face, but special emphasis will be placed on situations within the Caribbean context. It is assumed that students themselves have pursued \ are pursuing their own healing so as to prevent counter transference. The scripture is the standard by which all theories and techniques are measured.

This course is an overview of evangelism and assimilation, designed to equip and train believers on how to share their faith and be able to witness effectively for Christ.

This course will focus on the roots and identity of the Church of God of Prophecy (COGOP) and its government and polity. In order to accomplish the objectives of the course, an in-depth examination of the history of the COGOP from its inception will be undertaken. In writing about history, Geoffrey Elton states, “The purpose of history is to understand the past, and if the past is to be understood it must be given full respect in its own right” (R.J. Evans, 1999:197). The biblical text tells us one of the primary reasons of history is “These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fullfilment of the ages has come” (1 Cor. 10:11 NIV). This course will honour the past, review the present, and project into the future.
